getting started
Do I need any experience to join?+
Not at all. Complete beginners are very welcome — in both group and private sessions. If you've never done yoga before, mention it when you book and I'll make sure you feel comfortable from the start.
What style of yoga do you teach?+
My classes are mindful and anatomy-informed — physically challenging but accessible. Think strong, flowing movement with real attention to how your body works. Not spiritual, not passive. You'll probably work harder than you expected and leave calmer than you thought possible.
What's the difference between a group class and a private session?+
Group classes are a shared experience — great for energy, community, and keeping a regular practice. Private sessions are fully tailored to you: your goals, your body, your pace. If you have specific goals, injuries, or want to progress faster, a private session is worth it.
I have an injury or health condition — can I still come?+
Possibly yes, but please tell me before you book. My background in physiotherapy means I take this seriously — I'll want to understand what's going on so I can adapt appropriately or advise whether a session is suitable. When in doubt, check with your GP first.
what to expect
What should I wear?+
Comfortable, stretchy clothes you can move freely in. Yoga is practised barefoot, so no need for special footwear. Avoid anything too loose that might fall over your face in an inversion.
Do I need to bring a mat?+
For in-person sessions at a studio, mats are usually provided — check the specific studio's details when booking. For private in-person sessions, let me know if you don't have one and I'll bring one. For online sessions, any non-slip surface works to start with.
What should I eat before a session?+
Avoid a heavy meal for at least 2 hours before. A light snack an hour before is fine. Yoga involves a lot of twisting and inverting, so arriving on a full stomach isn't comfortable.
How long are the sessions?+
Group classes are typically 60–75 minutes. Private sessions are available in 60 or 90 minute slots. The booking confirmation will confirm the duration for your specific session.
online sessions
How do online sessions work?+
Once you book, you'll automatically receive a Zoom link in your confirmation email. At the session time, click the link and we're good to go. Make sure you have enough space to move around — roughly the size of a yoga mat in every direction.
What do I need for an online session?+
A device with a camera and microphone (phone, tablet, or laptop), a stable internet connection, and enough space to move. A yoga mat is helpful but not essential. Try to set your camera up so I can see your full body — propped up on a chair or table works well.
What if my internet cuts out mid-session?+
If there's a significant technical disruption on either side, we'll reschedule the remaining time at no extra cost. Minor blips we'll work around — it happens!
booking & payments
How do I book?+
Click any "book →" button on the sessions page and you'll be taken to the booking calendar. Pick your session type, choose a time that works, and pay securely at checkout. You'll get a confirmation email straight away.
What payment methods do you accept?+
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Payment is taken at the time of booking.
What's your cancellation policy?+
Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance receive a full refund. Within 24 hours, sessions are non-refundable but can be rescheduled once. No-shows forfeit the session. See the full terms for details.
Can I buy a block of sessions?+
Not yet through the booking system, but get in touch and we can arrange this directly. Blocks are a great way to commit to a regular practice and usually work out cheaper.
